even from the very first approach.

We all know it: first encounters are always the hardest.
Whether it’s at work, with a new friendship, or even a fleeting meeting, we often feel stuck by shyness and overwhelmed by endless doubts that seem impossible to solve, such as:

It’s the approach that makes the difference, the one that allows you to find the right words and the right moment.
But let’s raise the bar for a moment: how can you approach things in the right way when attending an event with your own booth, or when, in marketing, you want to make the most of a cold lead?

From these questions comes #attaccabottone — the original, made-in-Mentarossa way to talk to clients and prospects without fear. Or better yet, as the campaign says, to ‘strike up a conversation.’

In a world where the effectiveness of communication is measured by the number of clicks, what’s needed is a strategy built on vision, expertise, and a proactive approach.”

How? Our participation at WMF 2025, on June 4th, 5th, and 6th at Bologna Fiere, was our testing ground. A giant panel was divided into quadrants, each representing a different approach to social media and marketing:

- Networking Ninja
- Lead Hunter
- Silent Scout
- Coffee Chatterbox

Visitors were invited to take a button-shaped sticker (quite literally) and place themselves in the quadrant that best represented them.

But that’s not all. Through a QR code, everyone could access a landing page with a dedicated guide to dive deeper into their chosen profile and, above all, discover how to strike up a conversation more easily. But our guide—or rather, our guides—weren’t the only reward.
We also created pins and tote bags featuring witty phrases to help start a conversation or suggest clever comebacks to any pushy interlocutor.

The result?
Over 700 buttons placed and more than a thousand goodies distributed.
The enthusiasm and desire to strike up a conversation didn’t fade with the days of the WMF — the online shop we created is proof of that.
